We’re Cassie and Rogan, the lucky ones who get to call this incredible place home—and now, the proud new owners of this beloved brewery. When we took over from the legendary Shirley Warne, we knew we weren’t just stepping into a business; we were stepping into a story that’s been brewing for generations.

Our home in Kaslo has a long tradition of bringing people together over a pint. From the days when miners and loggers gathered in old saloons to today, when neighbours, travellers, and music lovers pull up a chair at Angry Hen Brewing, this town has always known the value of a shared drink, a good tune, and some honest conversation.

That’s exactly what we want to keep alive here—a space where history meets the present, where stories flow as easily as the beer, and where everyone feels at home.

We also think Shirley built something truly special when she opened Angry Hen Brewing in 2017. With decades of brewing experience, she created a lineup of beers that reflect quality, craftsmanship, and creativity. Working with her all these years, we’re now honoured to keep that tradition going with our 7-barrel brewhouse (one of the last built by Newlands!) and a rotating selection of lagers, ales, and our signature dry Irish stout on nitro. Whether you’re a hop-head, a malt-lover, or just looking for something smooth and easy, we’ve got a pour with your name on it.

But beer is just the beginning. More than anything, we want Angry Hen Brewing to be Kaslo’s living room—a place where good food, great music, and even better company come together.

That’s why we’re beyond excited to have Kaleb and Meika, the incredible duo behind Taqueria Tiburon, in our kitchen. They’re serving up some next-level Mexi-Canadiana fare that pairs perfectly with our brews—and we think our food has never been better!

In fact, all of this together has us dreaming of nights filled with local talent, tables packed with friends and strangers who leave as friends, and a space that feels like home to everyone who walks through the door. So whether you’re a longtime local or just passing through, come in, pull up a chair, and make yourself at home.
